More sightseeing in South of France

My friend Claudine from Yungaburra came for a visit, she hired a car and I took her through the Pays Cathare, Carcassone, Gorge du Tarn, Ardeche to meet up with mutual friends South of Avignon.

The highlight was Les Baume de Provence where an old quarry has been transformed into a spectacular audio/video show projected on the walls of the galleries. The theme was painters including Van Goth, Renoir and Monet

Outside the landscape is a bit rugged

 

 

Provence is the home of high stone walls

We loved World Heritage Pont du Gard

 

and the shops full of goodies
