amazing sunsets over the bush....
Darwin first stage
Finally I left Cairns in April.. Had a good trip to Darwin, stopped at Cloncurry to visit the Flying doctor museum, Katherine to enjoy hot spas.
Staying with Olga close to the city, and the beach, although I never go. The routine is visit to the gym and get healthy. Working a bit at the On Safari shop and helping Frank building the shed .
Making a mosaic clock for olga, using 3 different colour groups, a challenge! not easy to find materials here. Visited all the tiles shops which are very expensive. I met Debbie at the art studio and I help her Friday arvos with the kid classes.
Many festivals on the cards: went to merrendee , a lovely concert with Geoffrey Gunumul and the string band 'collective' on the river bank , learnt to process the merendee palm for weaving baskets. freshwater turtle for degustation and wild yam from the rocky hills (yummy)
Thursday morning socialising with some Ulysses members for a coffee at ....and Tuesday arvo at the North Darwin RSL club....
Forgot to mention the parties, first Olga's mum 85th birthday. Quentin cooked a lovely dinner and the best profiteroles, then Mothers day luncheon, Lucy's friend Constance departure with yummies crepes
